A few months before this photo was taken, SOO Line took over much of the eastern part of the bankrupt Milwaukee Road. A number of locomotives were included in the deal and here we see MILW SD-40-2 142 still in full Milwaukee paint between SOO 6615 and 6611. The train is westbound approaching the Elgin Street bridge at mile 164 Belleville Sub.
