Every station has a story. And the Komoka station is no different. However, from the beginning their station wasn't their station. The station was built by the CNR and it was first located down the line in the small hamlet of Gobles. Being so small, and not really having a large population, this small farming community suffered the loss of their station as the CNR relocated it to the junction at Komoka. It made sense to the CNR to have this small station for passengers going between trains on both the Strathroy and Chatham Subdivisions. Later in time, it also made sense to the CNR that they no longer required the station for use as their eyes shifted, intently focusing more on freight revenues than that of hauling passengers. The station was eventually closed, and relocated to Queen Street where it resides today as part of the Komoka Railway Museum.
