A trio of EMD GP38-2s trundle by the Barnes industrial complex after pushing 142 up the hill and meeting 255 at Waterdown North. Now operating under the Opta Minerals banner, this facility produces BriteSphere Reflectorizing Glass Beads and receives infrequent rail service from CP's Hamilton yard jobs. Much of the infrastructure here dates back to the early days of the Goderich Subdivision, with stick rail and the old Waterdown North Station (visible far right of frame) still in place. This sprawling complex is the only major industry in Waterdown served by rail and is very seldom photographed.
