The temperature with the humidity is sitting around 38 degrees. There is little the crew of train 551 can do but open every possible door and window on their veteran GP9RM just to catch whatever breeze maybe outside the cab. I've taken to the shade of the few trees nearby as the crew switches out the lumber yard on the old Townline spur, which is all that remains of the original North & Northwestern Railroad line through town. The line was rebuilt with a grade separation through Milton in 1960 when CN's Toronto's Mac Millian yard opened north of the city.

  1. I waved as I went by in my air conditioned SD70-2M on 523. The engineer on 551 was cursing at me because it was so hot on her unit and I was nice and cool :-)

  2. Ah so you guys were 523 didn’t think you looked like 399. I shot you guys off highway 5 bridge at Tansley :)

  3. Lol..oh so that was you standing on the north side of the bridge on Dundas St. You were wearing black or grey. It was starting to rain too. Hope you did not get wet :-)

  4. Gotta get a desk fan in there, lol.

  5. Desk fans are only in the SD70I’s :-)
