Generally, this is something that you do not want to see when out train watching. This wreck train is headed east on the Wainwright Sub (I don't recall if it continued east or went south on the Camrose Sub).
The consolation was they had an ex-NAR unit on the lead - the second time that I would see such an arrangement.

  1. Oh my….. any photos of the rear of this guy? I last saw a ‘work train’ on CP in 2011 or 2012 and it was chock full of old equipment, usually worthy of a click for every car that passes.. of course I’m not shooting film :)

  2. At the time, I think that I was ticked off seeing this train. I did not get out very often, so when I saw this, I assumed that my day was over.
    Sorry, no other pictures, but I can go through my slides and see what I did not scan.

  3. I do wish that I photographed that crane, though.
