Just because I was able to listen in on the RR conversations, doesn't mean that I would know that train this was. If the crew was broadcast signal indications, they would simply identify themselves as "Extra 5305 West".
This looks like they took all the left over cars in the yard that needed to go west and they put them on this train.
We drove out to Carvel for the first time. It was about an hour's drive from our home. What attracted me to the area were two rather large curves in the Edson Sub mainline (behind me in this scene) that I had seen on a map. There would be several more trips to this location in the future.
