OK, Hector does not exist at the time of the photo, but at one time, it was Hector. We are looking across Wapta Lake, just before the 2.2% grade begins through the west slope of Kicking Horse Pass. 
There is a rather nice waterfall just to the left, out of frame, that would be nice to work into a photo. I just never had the opportunity. That valley that leads to the right goes to the famous Lake O'Hara area.
