Stuart St is one of those special places for me - grew up watching trains here as a kid, and then as a young man working downtown - parked nearby just to watch the action before walking downtown. Wish I bought a camera with me in those days. But you'd never consider shooting from 'the ground' in the last 15 years, as it has been all grown in for a very long time and most of our shots are from Bay St bridge. Suddenly in 2014 the site was cleared for surveys and construction and a couple photos suddenly became possible. SOR's power tracks are clearly seen at left along with the Bayfront Park ship mast. Today this photo is well, a parking lot under construction, and will soon be all fenced in. Sometimes opportunity knocks for a short window of time and you should be ready to pounce.

Caption: Arnold's photo of the CN bridge over the Linc reminded me of this shot - Stuart St is one of those special places for me - grew up watching trains here as a kid, and then as a young man working downtown - parked nearby just to watch the action before walking to Stelco tower. I wish I bought and owned a camera in those days.
