  1. Not unlike the “original” trackage of the Huntsville & Lake of Bays trackage, except they used steam propulsion rather than diesel!

  2. Oh, we still use steam, but only in July and August when we have 4 scheduled runs each working day. In the shoulder seasons there is only 1 run on weekdays (Tues. thru Fri.) so it isn’t worth spending over $100 in fuel to get the steamer percolating for just one run when the revenue intake could be only $29 or so on a slow day. Problem is, you never know what days are gonna be slow until it happens.
