While OSR S-13 #502 started the days train, mechanical issues would force sister former BC Rail unit 501 to finish out the day's chores. Here we see 501 about to duck under the abandoned Canada Southern line as it heads for Tillsonburg yard and later the Trillium interchange. The abandoned CNR Burford sub. parallels the line here to the right. The 86' auto parts cars have since vanished from the area, but at the time of the photo auto parts were still produced in town.

  1. Only aware of two telltales still in service in Ontario (aliebt not as they were). Both of them on either side of this bridge in Tillsonburg, and the one left in Guelph.

  2. Tillsonburg was once such a great railroad town with numerous railroads once passing through, so sad only one railroad remains:(
