  1. are 6017 and 6067 in service?

  2. Yup, they are in service!

  3. do you know what their first assignment was when they got out of storage?

  4. They are supposed to be for snowplow service however it seems that the 6017 & 6067 have been hanging around the shop and being used for moves around shop trackage. The 6050 was running but has been shut down for a couple of weeks now. 5833 has been on the Expressway but you never know when they will be pressed into service especially with the lease return of some CEFX bluebirds.

  5. trust me, the 5833 is my favorite cp sd40-2 before it was back in service, and seeing it in service leading 132 was one of the best moments I have ever had on CP. and as the UP Spec bluebirds come out of their leases, hopefully some redbarns will come back to service
