When this shot was taken in 1990, AMT 1304 had already been in service for 28 years. Built for Canadian Pacific in 1952, it carried road numbers 4074 and 1430 before retirement in 1982. It was subsequently sold to the Montreal Urban Community Transit Commission when they took over CP’s “Lakeshore” commuter service in 1982, rebuilt, and served another 20 years (retired in 2002). Saturday-only train 50 was photographed at the Beaurepaire commuter stop in Beaconsfield on a snowless winter day.
