This station, built and completed 1907/1908, was once the northern terminus of the Calgary and Edmonton Railway. When built this actually was the community of Strathcona. The structure has undergone many uses over the years, after becoming a heritage building in 1991 while it was under CP ownership. This image, taken more than 40 years ago, shows the station still in operation, with CP Budd 9105 out front. The area is completely different now; track gone and urban sprawl everywhere.
