During the "Oka Crisis" in 1990, the Mercier bridge in the Montreal area was closed, causing traffic chaos. As a "relief valve", two commuter trains were temporarily operated between Montreal and St-Isidore over CN lines using former CP commuter equipment borrowed from West Island commuter service. Here we see Montreal Urban Community FP7 1300 passing through LaPrairie on the Massena sub. (Note the GP9 and van from the CN wayfreight in the background.)
