As part of Canada's 150th anniversary, CN ran a special Confederation train from Montreal to Ottawa this afternoon. The Confederation Players (a theatre troupe from Charlottetown)went to in Ottawa on this train, as well as numerous politicians, including the mayor of Montreal and Charlottetown. Power is a great looking pair of GP40-2L(W)'s (CN 9590 & CN 9592) and behind are the CN passenger cars Fraser Spirit, Champlain, Tawaw and the Sandford Fleming. Here the train is seen crossing the Lachine Canal a few minutes after leaving Central Station in Montreal.
