Caption: As if CP didn't have their own problems dealing with a locomotive shortage and leased engines from several sources; Penn Central couldn't keep their end of the bargain when it came to powering the Buffalo/Toronto service. So on this bitter February morning, somewhere between Brimley and McCowan, I managed to get close enough to the right of way as CP sent 7064 out to Leaside to rescue the ailing KINNEAR. 1 or 2 of the classic PC engines had finally died and the tonnage was too great to keep the train moving. So F7's 1747 and 1729, with GP9B 3829 are getting a helping hand from MLW's finest in order to land the train in the Receiving bowl.
