Caption: A gloomy autumn afternoon in central BC. I was working train 570, Prince George to Williams Lake and as usual we had some switching to do at the large, modern Dunkley Lumber sawmill. Sometimes it would be a quick chore of spotting empty center beams in one track and picking up loads in the other track. The two longest lumber loading tracks were south end connection only and the other shorter side ramp was a north end connection. Things could get complicated if we had to service all three tracks, or sort out the north / south loads as well as respot cars. The Conductor sure got his exercise walking. I had a "trainee Engineer" with me this trip and was confident in his abilities that I got off the engine for a leg stretch and some photos.
