Idling away on the shop track on a gloomy May afternoon, 603 & 604 in the "two tone green" paint. These RS18 units were a popular reliable locomotive and well maintained by the BCR shop staff. Kind of a neat unit to operate on the main track in road switcher service with generally a good comfortable ride. In yard service they were great pulling locos for heavy switching assignments either as a single unit, or coupled in a pair or MU'd with a slug. Unfortunately they just weren't the same after the CAT engine conversion.
