The Exeter Switcher crew was having a difficult time making this joint. Sort of "a touch more and up a foot". The car we were going to couple onto was sitting on top of the center pin in the bolster assembly. The car had been loaded with short logs for the OSB plant, the logs were wedged into the bunks and when lifted up for unloading the railway car lifted and then settled down on the center pin. Not much we could do and had to leave the car, eventually the Williams Lake car shops came with jacks, lifted the car and set back down with the pin in correct position.
