A fresh-looking CN GMD-1 1422 sits outside Taschereau Yard's diesel shop on May 26th 1990. Formerly CN 1076, she was rebuilt in 1989 with many of her sisters into the 1400-series units, which included an upgrade with 645 power assemblies and swapping the old A-1-A 3-axle trucks with B-B 2-axle Flexicoil trucks off lightweight GP9's (essentially making those GMD-1 into the equivalent of SW1200RS units but with a short hood and longer frame).
