The changing eastward view from Bathurst Street: One of four images showing the changes through years: 1979, 1980\'s and 2011. And the Via Rail we know today is vastly different - the Spadina coach yard with two tracks holding ex CP Budd built cars for \'The Canadian\' which places the date of this negative likely between 1985 (when the Via \'Canadian\' resumed terminating/originating out of Toronto) and 1989 (anyone with further knowledge?). Note the main depot approach tracks now include the new over/underpass. The two tracks in the immediate foreground are the CN \'highline\' (depot bypass) that were located to the south of the roundhouses (parallel to Lakeshore road) and reconnected to the main depot tracks east of Scott Street. The S 13 (8500) in the foreground is switching a southwestern Ontario Tempo train powered by a LRC 6900 – F7B 6600 and Tempo generator/bagage car combo. The Tempo equipment was eventually sold to the D&RGW for their Ski Train and later sold (2010?) by D&RGW to the CN for the ACR tour train. Power: the MLW built S13\'s (8500\'s) were retired by 1990; the F7B (6600) was retired by 1989 and the LRC unit (6900) built 1982 and retired by 2002.Kodak Tri X Pan b&w negative film.
