VIA Rail train #54 (lead by FPA4 6779 and an FPB4) and train #44 (with FP9 6526 on point) are both waiting to depart from Brockville station for Montreal & Ottawa respectively, on June 1st 1982. Note the stainless steel dome cars in #54's consist - this was when VIA's Canadian was was added to #54 to carry on to Montreal. The trailing FPB4 is likely either 6866 or 6867, both of which lasted longer that the others in CN zebra stripes (6866 lasted until retirement and was never repainted VIA).

  6. The spur to the right with the open door box car, where did it lead to? I’m not seeing it on https://www.openrailwaymap.org/ or any current config here: https://rac.jmaponline.net/canadianrailatlas/?autozoom=region;-8887290;5349812;7405;4319
Lovely shot btw. I happened on to it exploring the Railway tunnel there in Brockville.
