A prime example of what happens on a industrial lumber loading track when a front end loader is used to switch rail cars. The cars needed to be repaired after this "by-pass" of drawbars, product was delayed and the mill was billed for the damages.

  1. ‘by passed’ drawbars can also lead to derailment if the failed coupling is pushed, especially on a curve.
