A MAC90 by the sanding towers at the east end of the shop. The Sand house (white structure) visible to the left of the 9147 behind the blue unit and the two sanding towers in this photo are but a memory now.

  1. Many(most!) Line the deadlines at CP’s Weston Shops.

  2. I think CP has already purged them from their roster. I know NS acquired some from UP and are rebuilding them.

  3. Wish I shot these more. Was able to get a few shots of them leading near the end of their triumph, but not nearly enough. Wonder what CP’s plans are for them moving forward.

  4. Agreed. I am not sure how the CP SD90MAC were in terms of quietness and comfort but I know that the CN SD70/75I’s are the most comfortable and quiet locomotives on the roster. Even the newer 8800-8900 SD70 class with whisper cabs are not nearly are quiet.

  5. Probably the best looking EMD/GMD wide cab design. Crew impressions?
