I had the day off school today because this was the day the grade 10s wrote the OSSLT literacy exam and being that it was a clear sunny morning I decided to take advantage and head downtown to see the OBRY considering the fact that the line seems to be in its final days. In this scene CCGX 4015 is leading the bi-weekly freight southbound to Streetsville. They are approaching English St entering downtown Brampton and running almost parallel to Moore st (visible towards the right where the road curves slightly to the left). Behind them were a total of 12 freight cars which makes this the longest train I personally ever seen on this line. Glad I shot this!

  1. Is that a plane above the train in the background?

    Great pic.

  2. Yes it is. Thank you!

  3. Nice. Any news on someone taking over for Cando?

  4. Nothing. When we know it’ll be posted on the site masthead.

  5. Thanks. Last I heard a few railways have shown interest in taking over but I don’t think anyone has been seriously considering it. It’s already been over 3 months since CANDO’s initial announcement and a little less than 3 months to go so we’re over halfway there basically. I guess time will tell. Hope the line will be saved.
