That time of year again when it's possible to shoot from the north side of the tracks at Waterworks Sideroad. The invasive Purple Loosestrife is in full bloom now as CN 2130 leads train 148 out of Sarnia.

  1. Excellent image! One small correction, though. While that wildflower is an invasive alien, it is not purple loosestrife: it is Hesperis matronalis (Dame’s Rocket).

  2. Thanks Dr. D., never heard of Dames Rocket though.

  3. Very nice, Mark. Good use of the wild phlox.

  4. Thanks Earl.
