It has been interesting over the years documenting the changes to the urban sprawl in Milton. This view only a few years ago was farmers fields up to Derry Road although this shot then wasn’t possible as the Louis Saint Laurent bridge didn’t exist. The block of new homes on the right are almost complete and soon the country view in the opposite direction may look more like this one. Here we see CN train 435 with a three unit lash up in three different paint schemes. The slight zig-zag in the distance marks the location where the original at grade right of way left the new grade separation built in the 1960s.

  1. To the west of this shot on the bridge where you are standing will be a new intermodal yard that CN wants to build. Resident protestors be dammed.
