Two days after I saw this CWR train heading west on the Oakville Sub toward CN Snake, it departed Aldershot Yard eastward onto the Halton Sub. It is seen here on the north track approximately 1 mile from Burlington West, with the locomotive next to the rail feed cars.
SD70i CN 5624 is pushing back the Continuous Welded Rail train, and is a bit less than 1/4 mile from where they started unloading. The rail is coming off car CN 46571 (safety doors open), passing through the appropriately positioned rollers on yellow car CN 44308, and then through the guide box and final roller on car CN 44307. The new rail on the ground makes a brown border between the greenery and the ballast stones.
Car CN 44307 has a motor which could be used to power the hydraulics. I suspect that there are controls in the cab for moving the rollers to provide a smooth path for whichever rail is being unloaded. There are winches to pull the rail into the rail feeder, and other equipment.
