A shot that I have done many a time with the SOR, now a shot that I have been able to repeat with CN. Here we see CN L580 heading for Hagersville with CN 9473, CN 7025 and CN 4130. All of their cars today were to work the CGC plant outside of Hagersville. The mill in Hagersville was not worked on this afternoon.

  1. we’re down to geeps now…

  2. I doubt this consist is going to last long.

  3. Other than the empty cars for wallboard, CGC recieves cars of plaster, pearlite and starch i’m told as part of the manufacturing process.

I suspect the grain hoppers will be distinctly different for the elevator at Hagersville. How often does it get cars? I’ve never seen a car in there.

  4. Word is that the elevator is to only be served on Wednesday’s and on an as requested basis

  5. Everything has a schedule, doesn’t it :)

Looking forward to seeing what happens there, but I doubt i’ll ever be there to see a car go in.

  6. Come on Steve….you can get down there on your “brunch hour+”

  7. Since the return of CN – one delivery of 4 hoppers to Railview Transload on Wednesday, Sep 25th and empties picked up following Wednesday, Oct 2nd. Armstrong Milling of Nelles Corners utilize the elevators as well to transload product for its bird feed business.

  8. CN delivered a single hopper to the Mattice Mill today. Glenn and I were able to photograph the move.

  9. Oh no, they varied the switch to Friday versus Wednesday ??
Steve – note that Mattice is part of the LAC network, which includes Tupperville ! Laughingly, they claim service with CSX…
