When this picture was taken this past June, this busy and electrified commuter line was double-tracked on this section of the Deux-Montagnes Sub. Within a few days one track would be taken out of service because work was starting on the REM light rail project, which will unfortunately replace this heavy rail line. Here RTM 943 is bringing commuters home and has just left Mont-Royal Station.

  1. Hope CTCUM/STCUM/AMT/RTM/EXO is going to hang onto these for use on a newly-electrified line elsewhere.

  2. Very unlikely.
