CN 7105 and 165 work the yard in Capreol, Ontario on August 3rd, 1987. The 7105 had been recently rebuilt from SW1200RS 1253. The 165 began life as S-3 switcher 8487, rebuilt to yard slug B-5 (you can see this number bleeding through the paint). It was then renumbered to 304 and finally 165. The 165 is being used solely for extra breaking capacity at this time.

  1. Nice one. How long were Sweeps in service for?

  2. Not long by railroad locomotive standards. All were sold to CANAC in 2000.
