Sarnia-bound 383, with CN 3877 on point with the infamous CN 100 logo on the side, rolls through Aldershot on Canada Day. With most trains detouring over the Chatham and Grimsby/Stamford Subs at the time due to the derailment in the Sarnia tunnel, 383 was handling most, if not all, of the Sarnia traffic at the time (not sure if 509 was still running or not - and would appreciate confirmation one way or another if anyone knows). Marc Dease shot this train in Sarnia later that night.

  1. Nice photo James, I like catching the new units while they are still fresh looking.

I quite like the decal on the side of the nose, it is like the crest on CP 8939, both have been well done. The 100 stuff, H’mmm?

  2. Yeah the white roof is growing on me a bit. Not sure how long they expect them to stay that way though haha
