Steve Young mentioned in a post of his recently about a training facility with an old CN caboose up on a high structure. Last summer I happened to be at this spot for an afternoon photo of this caboose. Still standing after many years, the business that used this for safety training is gone and caboose plus structure was/is for sale, the last I heard.

  2. If I recall correctly, the caboose has not been used for a long time, more than a few years. It stands as a cool caboose in the sky, I think, when traveling on the Sherwood Park Fwy. You can see it from quite far away.
