Caption: Between Biggar and Keppel is a fun stretch of railfanning territory, with the CN Watrous Sub and the CP Wilkie Sub running close proximity to each other (and in places directly side-by-side). The area is dominated by grid roads (dirt roads) and is quite peaceful, quiet, and quite frankly, beautiful. In this shot, CN 180, led by 3087, temporarily interrupts the quiet of the rural idyll, as it continues its eastward march from Prince Rupert to BIT.
Not too far west of here was a fairly sizable double-tracking project currently underway. A decent amount of heavy equipment was in the area, and it appeared they had laid all of the roadbed when I was out there in August. Matt Watson provides additional context for the double tracking project in his shot at the former CN Neola, just east of the location in my shot.

This really works for me. The scenery is bang on.
Of the new GE’s, I do like these units with the apex roof on the radiators
Sweet prairie scene. Nice work, James.
Thank you both
