TH21 is pictured here with about 15 minutes to spare before outlawing (I think), heading from Aberdeen to Kinnear at about 0845 on Saturday morning. At Kinnear they would do a live hand off to the crew of TH31, who starts at 0900 on weekends. TH31 was particularly late getting back from Aberdeen on this day on account of a slow moving 247, which was supposedly giving the RTC "grey hair". When 247 finally did depart Kinnear, they lost air on their tail end and had the head end sticking out of the tunnel and tail end was right around the location of this shot. TH21's plan was to shove back to Aberdeen and taxi to Kinnear, but suddenly 247 recovered its air and got going, much to my delight, as it was this shot of TH21 that I was after on this morning. For everyone who keeps tabs on this kind of thing, CP's Hamilton IDs have changed as follows: TH11 is Monday to Friday 0900 to 1700, TH21 is Wednesday to Sunday 2300 to 0700 (quite late on this day), and TH31 is Monday and Tuesday 2300 to 0900 and Saturday and Sunday 0900 to 1900. Note that TH11 and TH21 are five days a week, while TH31 is four with longer shifts. Overall it represents a reduction in jobs, though there now is a Sunday day job which did not exist under the most recent configuration.
