The Montreal, Maine & Atlantic was one of those railroads I wished had survived. It's very unfortunate the devastation that led to the railroads demise, and the collapse of Ed Burkhardt's railroad enterprise. He did an amazing job building a number of railroads into a success, from the small and little know SLC to the Railfans favorite WC along with rail operations in Britain. It was unfortunate that the MMA was so far from my home or o would have visited more often. Thus day found Four axle Dash-8 8525 working the yard in Farnham, a long way away from the Burlington Northern lines it previously spent so many years roaming. Unlike MMA's C30-7'S, most of the Dash-8 would survive the demise of the MMA and eventually move onto new owners.
