With about 20 2 bay hoopers in tow from the Nephton mine, CP 3119 and 2 other GP38 counterparts slowly roll past the 102 year old Pontypool Elevator. Built in 1918, this elevator is one of two free standing elevators still in Ontario and the last of it's kind. It's counterpart being the slightly older elevator in Port Perry.

  1. Great spot to shoot a winter rail scene. Elevator, snow all around, and being conifers, the trees are nice and green. The blue sky should be mentioned too. Thumbs are up at my end Mitchell. :-)

  3. Beautiful pic, I have a cottage on Lake Kasshabog and the Nephton rail line runs behind the place…Mon, Wed, Friday, without fail…you can count on that train coming up from Havelock to the Mine
