  1. Upper Canada Railway Society owned this car for many years as did they the wooden one inside ex DAR.

    These cars operated on many steam and diesel excursions over many years and this one also on VIA trains making several charter trips all across Canada to the East and west coasts.

  2. Were the VIA charters operated by the Upper Canada Railway Society as well?

  3. Yes, Mel Marchbank was the UCRS’s private car attendant/porter/chef/waiter. I was the treasurer. At one time we had 900 members!

  5. UCRS car 13 ( Cape Race ) looks splendid ! Job well done. Rode many 6218 steam excursions with car 13 carrying the markers.
