Not everything in this picture is what it seems...Here we have Canadian Pacific's Calgary station switcher handling the power for the No. 2, The Canadian (outbound, if I'm correct). The 1432 is not an FP9 but rather an FP7--originally built in 1951 (note the small dynamic brake fan) and rebuilt with FP9 louvres after a 1964 grade crossing accident. MLW 6610 is not an S-3 but rather the later S-10, one of only 13--all built for CP. And the GP9 is interesting, too--one of only 29 steam generator equipped geeps in CP's fleet.

    1432 has not received the black anti-glare panel on top of the nose yet.

    Did the FP9 not have the so called ‘vertical split’ louvres; i.e. no horizontal ribs?
