CN L514 heads south towards Blenheim passing what used to be a major interlocking between the Pere Marquette and the New York Central in the hamlet of Fargo. I attempted to recreate Stephen C. Host's 2005 photo of CSX passing this same location back when the diamond was still in place and signaled. The only rail related piece of infrastructure that remains is a post that held the electrical meter for the signal equipment here. The searchlights for the Sarnia Spur are also still present but obviously are decommissioned and turned to the side. I'd like to submit this photo for the Time Machine contest. The attached link is for Stephen's photo I recreated. http://www.railpictures.ca/?attachment_id=35365

  1. Excellent. Just that one pole. Know what sucks? Cn had storage cars east of the diamond in 2005. Yes, the diamond was still used by cn, just very rarely.

I wanted to see that so bad but lightning needed to strike and I am a 2.5 hour drive away…

  2. Oh wow that would have been cool to see them going across. I guess that means the signals were still in service for all 4 directions at the time then?

  3. Yes, why have an interlocking and press the button (see my photo) if its not for something hHaha

  4. Haha true I should have thought about that one a bit more lol

  5. A friend pointed out they are exercising CROR rule 611 in this photo to knife it in their favour.

  6. Yeah that’s pretty cool. I’ve seen CSX in Michigan do the same at AnnPere in Howell.
