Caption: Back when the fledgling CLRV fleet was still relatively new on the Toronto transit scene, TTC CLRV 4023 heads eastbound on a Rt.506 Carlton run along the busy College Street, passing Major Street in traffic on a sunny afternoon in September 1983. Despite operating with front and rear couplers, the cars were never used in service as MU sets, and eventually the couplers were removed and replaced with front skirt pieces.
