On a brisk November evening CN 434 sits in the yard at Brantford with CN 2110 leading. They would wait for about 10 minutes to allow DI to get back to them and let them out of the yard and back to their train. Since I took this shot I have not seen a C40-8 leading on CN with most being put into storage and some even retired.

  1. I might be dating myself, but weren’t the ex-UP Dash 8′s picked up recently?

  2. They first started coming on the scene in 2010, so CN has had them for roughly 10ish years.

  3. No chance of rebuilds then? 10 Years?? Time sure flies. Always love Brantford shots. Another good one. Keep em coming Joseph!

  4. Built in 1991 for the C&NW, it’s had a long life. CN won’t bother repairing any of the -8′s as they have all their new GE’s to replace them.
