The Thursday grain extra is on the way to Edmonton and passing over the Redwater river trestle for this photograph. The 4345 is still wearing the Polar Bear from its time on the GSLR. I believe that the yellow showing on the dynamic brake grills is also the yellow paint scheme applied for a short time while working the GSLR. The great part of having a safety cab paired with an old GP9, you get 2 longhoods forward when the older unit leads. The 4345 was rebuilt to the 4126 in 1989. It did not enjoy a long second life as it was involved in an accident in 1997 and retired (info from CNRHA).
