  1. Looks like it is the Dayliner from Havelock. Not much going on in the background.

  2. Mr. May and I may be of similar vintage. I would have been 11 years-old when this mage was taken. I regularly tried to watch the weekday Dayliner as it passed by my house each morning before I went to school at 8:30 AM. I lived halfway between Agincourt Yard and Union Station – the mainline of the CPR literally running against my backyard. I could see the Budd cars descending the hill for perhaps the better part of a mile. Your image, Mr. Farkas, brings back a flood of memories. Thank you for posting, Sir.

  3. Similar indeed. I would have been 9. Our family used to ride the train from Peterborough on occasional Saturday trips.

  4. Good chance that could be my late Grandfather in the hogger’s seat, the Engineer’s face is just barely visible…
