I love railfanning Niagara for its combination of interesting interchange moves and spaghetti bowl of track, and this is a great example of both. CN L562, with CN 3157 on point, is not far removed from the Cayuga Spur Connecting Track and having entered the CP Hamilton Sub at Brookfield East, and is now 'northbound' on the Hamilton Sub headed for interchange with Trillium at Feeder (accessed from the north switch for Rusholme Siding). I did a telephoto here to emphasize the track configuration in this area. The track at right is Rusholme Siding (which is usually jammed full of racks so to find it empty for a clear shot of 562 is a nice bonus), the switch nearest the tail end of 562 is for the Montrose Spur which is traversed twice weekly by TE21 heading to Niagara Falls, and the first switch to come off of the Montrose and head towards the middle of the disused signal bridge is the Stevensville Spur (formerly Fort Erie Sub). The Stevensville Spur rarely sees anything on it - earlier this Spring at the height of COVID shutdowns it was jammed full of autoracks, but has long since been cleared. As far as I know these were the first wheels to turn on these rails in at least a couple of years. In a short distance, 562 will pass underneath the CN Stamford Sub, the very rails it was on just minutes before.
