The long days of August helped make the Starlite a decent shot back in the day; as the train often did not
roll thru until the dinner hour or later.  Here we see all-TH&B, 71, 401 and 77 Hamilton bound, passing a rail train on the line heading up the Dundas sub.
Twenty seven years earlier, in Aug 1950; the TH&B 71 was the very first locomotive ever constructed at the GMD plant in London, Ont. And two and a half years after this picture was taken, the GP7 would meet its demise in a violent truck-train collision in Pelham.

  1. And look at that, I posted an OSR pic right beside your TH&B pic. Now we can see the differences between the two.

    OSR is definitely TH&B inspired but…. not the same:)
