All good things must come to an end. Sadly, the searchlight signals that have been guarding CN Liverpool for decades seem to be in their final weeks. With replacements in and on the ground, it was time to document them before they were gone forever. And what a train to frame!
CN 517 heads up the CN York sub with C40-8 "standard cab" 2109 and SD75I 5772. As these signals slowly get replaced, it puts into question other searchlight replacements for the year.

Some technicalities for the new LEDs:
EBs off the York sub will have a solo mast (already in the ground in the photo). Signals for EBs on the Kingston sub will have a signal cantilever installed with signals for both tracks on the cantilever. The frame was already on site on the 9th.
The WB signals are also being replaced, but I do not remember if they are all going on a cantilever or bridge, or if the York sub will have its own mast.
