Knowing its days were numbered, I made a few attempts to photograph it in the north end. Some successful, some not so much. On the evening of March 19 the sun was shining, and 1439 was facing the right way on the 16:00 job for myself and a few others to get some good photographs of it. CN 1439 was lifted from Hamilton this morning, so this could be the last GMD-1u to operate in Hamilton... or anywhere.
