I miss seeing the full cowl GMD units. Originally designated "SD50AF", and originally numbered 9900, this unit and three sisters were basically SD60s on the inside, delivered along with the first SD50F order in 1985. When the "real" SD60F units arrived these units were renumbered as the first in the series. I was pleasantly surprised to catch this beast racing through Kingston station. The original "99" was fading through underneath the "55" on the side of the cab. It had ten years to go until retiring along with all of the SD60Fs.
