Looking I think, rather Art Deco, CP Royal Hudson 2860, an MLW 4-6-4 built in 1940 was wintering over at the BCR Shops in North Vancouver when this photo was taken in 1997. The 2860 is now on permanent loan to the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish B.C.

    Is this Royal Hudson permanently retired at this point?

    I believe so since not listed at the WCRHP website as running excursions at this point. I tried to contact them for more info but they’re probably not open yet.
